Donation of 750 Sqm. 500 Seater Ultra Modern Auditorium for Ogbona Secondary School
The School Management Board is proud to announce that our Board member Mr. Peter Omoh Dunia Esq. is financing and building a 750 square meters, 500 seater Modern Auditorium for the school. Mr. Dunia, a renown Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, made some substantial donations to the school in the last few years towards upgrading the School Infrastructure. Mr. Dunia’s desire to see that the students enjoy international standard learning, made him opt for a New Auditorium instead of the renovation of the dilapidated old Examination Hall building. He believes that the school and the community will be better served by a new all inclusive Auditorium.
The new Auditorium when completed will:
- Be The School Assembly Hall
- Rank our school as an accredited centre for External Examinations and Academic Excellence
- Host Joint Lectures
- Host Indoor Sports
- Host Arts and Entertainment Recitals
- Be a Resource Center.
The well-attended, groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 25th, 2023. This project when completed will cost substantially more than the ₦60 million (approx. USD $84,000 @ ₦715 to $1 exchange rate, April 2023) that Mr. Dunia initially budgeted, because of necessary additional design variations he introduced and the skyrocketing cost of building, caused by inflation in Nigeria.
