Donation of Solar Equipment for Electronic Learning
The Solar Equipment valued at over ₦5 Million (approx. USD $7,000 @ ₦715 to $1 exchange rate, April 2023) was donated by Nnama and Joan Egwuonwu; supported by Joan’s colleagues and friends. This donation was inspired by Joan Egwuonwu’s desire to introduce online learning (E-Learning) to the Senior Secondary School, as part of broadening the learning options for the Senior Secondary students. The Solar Equipment presently services the thirty (30) computers, electronic screens and learning aids in the ICT room.
The Solar Equipment was activated on April 5, 2023, and comprises of:
- 10kva 120volt Solar Inverter
- 10 pieces 220amp Batteries
- 20 pieces 320 watt Solar Panels
- 120 volt MPPT Solar Charger Controller
- Battery racks
- Installation Accessories
Ten 150 watts Solar Lights were also installed to illuminate the exterior of the new school building at night.
