Equipping of the School Clinic


The School Clinic was equipped by Dr Benedict Itsuokor, courtesy of Ogbona Secondary School Management Board (SMB). This is part of the Infrastructure and Academic Development Initiative of the Ogbona SMB. Dr. Itsuokor, is the President of IHPU, an Association that helps Doctors with Medic Legal issues, Continued Medical Education and various other Advocacies in the United Kingdom.

In January 2023, the Board equipped the two room Clinic with state-of-the-art medical devices and equipment to provide first aid care to students and staff. These include: ECG Machine, Nebulizer for Asthma Patients, Oxygen Concentrator, Zoll Defibrillator, Tens Machine, Urinalysis Kits, Spo2 Monitor, Patient Monitor, Stethoscope, Wheel Chair, Glucometer, Infrared Thermometer, BP Monitor, Knee Braces, First Aid Sports Bag, First Aid and Injury Sports Bag, Pain Spray, Stretcher/Spinal Board, TeleMedicine, Complete First Aid supplies and stock of Medications supply to last two years.

The SMB is currently paying a Licensed Community Health Nurse stationed at the clinic five days a week, from 9:00am – 2:00pm, and a medical doctor who visits at least twice a week. Telemedicine facility available for the nurse to call a doctor or for advice/guide in case of emergency.

A washing hand basin was installed in the clinic to ensure a safe and clean environment Fabrication of Security Iron Cupboard to house the medical devices and equipment and four Burglary Proofs for safeguard the School Clinic
